Joon-Gun


Meaning
: is named after the patriot An Joon-Gun who assassinated Hiro-Bumi Ito, the first Japanese govenor-general of Korea, known as the man who played the leading part in the Korea-Japan merger. There are 32 movements in this pattern to represent Mr. An's age when he was executed in Lui-Shung prision in 1910.

1. Move the left foot to B forming a right L-stance while executing a middle reverse knifehand side block with the left hand to B. (Wirro Niunja Sogi, Kaunde So Bandae Sonkal Yop Makgi)

2. Execute a left low side front snap kick to B keeping the same position of the hands as they were in #1. (Cirro Najunde Yop Apcha Busigi)

3. Lower the left foot to B and move the right foot forward to B forming a left rear foot stance while executing a right upward palm block to B. (Cirro Dwit Bal Sogi, Wirro Ollyo Son Badak Makgi)

4. Move the right foot clockwise to A forming a left L-stance while executing a middle reverse knifehand side block with the right hand to A. ( Cirro Niunja Sogi Kaunde So Bandae Sonkal Yop Makgi)

5. Execute a right low side front snap kick to A keeping the same position of the hands as they were in #4. (Wirro Najunde Yop Apcha Busigi)

6. Lower the right foot to A and move the left foot forward to A forming a right rear foot stance while executing a left upward palm block to A. (Wirro Dwit Bal Sogi, Cirro Ollyo Son Badak Makgi)

7. Move the left foot toward D forming a right L-stance with a knifehand guarding block to D. (Wirro Niunja Sogi, Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

8. Move the left foot 1/2 way back to the right fot and then slide it forward to D forming a left walking stance while executing a right uppper elbow strike to D. (Cirro Gunun Sogi, Wirro Ollyo Palkup Taerigi)

9. Step forward toward D forming a left L-stance with a knifehand guarding block to D. (Cirro Niunja Sogi, Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

10 Move the right foot 1/2 way back to the left foot and then slide it forward to D forming a right walking stance while executing a left upper elbow strike to D. (Wirro Gunun Sogi, Cirro Ollyo Palkup Taerigi)

11. Step forward to D forming a left walking stance while executing a high twin vertical punch to D (Cirro Gunun Sogi, Nopunde San Bakat Sewo Jirugi)

12. Step forward to D forming a right walking stance while executing a twin upset punch to D. (Wirro Gunun Sogi, San Bakat Dwijibo Jirugi)

13. Spot turn counter-clockwise to form a left walking stance toward C while executing a rising X-fist block to C (Cirro Gunun Sogi, Chookyo Kyocha Joomok Makgi)

14. Move the left foot 1/2 way back to the right foot and then slide it to E forming a right L-stance with a left high backfist strike to E. (Wirro Gunun Sogi, Cirro Nopunde Dung Joomok Taerigi)

15. Twist the left fist counter-clockwise until the back of the fist faces downward (releasing technique) while at the same time moving the left foot to form a left walking stance toward E. (Cirro Gunun Sogi)

16. Execute a right high reverse punch to E while maintaining the same stance. Perform #15 and #1`6 in combination (Wirro Nopunde So Bandae Jirugi)

17. Bring the left foot beside the right foot and then move the right foot to F forming a left L-stance with a right high backfist strike to F. (Cirro Niunja Sogi, Wirro Nopunde Dung Joomok Taerigi)

18. Twist the right fist clockwise until the back of thefist faces dowward (releasing technique) while at the same time moving the right foot to form a right walking stance toward F. (Wirro gunun Sogi)

19. Execute a left high reverse punch to F while maintaining the same stance. Perform $18 and #19 in combination (Cirro So Bandae Jirugi)

20. Bring the right foot back beside the left foot and then move the left foot to C forming a left walking stance while executing a left high double inner forearm block to C. (Cirro gunun Sogi, Cirro Nopunde Doo An Palmok Makgi)

21. Bring the left foot 1/2 way back to the right one and slide it back to C forming a right L-stance to C while executing al left middle punch to C. (Wirro Niunja Sogi, Cirro Kaunde Jirugi)

22. Execute a right middle side piercing kick while at tthe same time performing a right high punch. (Wirro Kaunde Yopcha Jirugi, Wirro Nopunde Jirugi)

23. Lower the right leg forming a right walkiing stance to C while executing a right high double inner forearm block to C (Wirro Gunun Sogi, Doo An Palmok Makgi)

24. Bring the right foot 1/2 way back to the left one and slide it back to C forming a left L-stance to C while executing a right middle punch to C. (Cirro Niunja Sogi, Wirro Kaunde Jirugi)

25. Execute a left middle side piercing kick while at the same time performing a left high punch to C. (Cirro Kaunde Yopcha Jirugi, Cirro Nopunde Jirugi)

26. Lower the left foot forming a right L-stance to C while executing an outer forearm guarding block to C (Wirro Niunja Sogi, Bakat Palmok Daebi Makgi)
